Get Set For Spring
Spring is here! Cleaning isn’t top of my list of fun things to do – or anything to do, to be honest – but something about adding ‘spring’ to the beginning of it makes it bearable. Sorting out the crazy amount of beauty products and magazines that have accumulated in my flat over winter, looking in drawers I haven’t opened for months, as well as giving everything a good clean is actually kind of fun. As long as I have a good soundtrack playing! On top of that, I’m getting organised by trying out the Bullet Journal method, to help me get ready for a fab summer.
Investigate Child 44 & The Trace
I will always investigate anything with Tom Hardy in the cast list (as you may know by now) so I’m super excited to see him star alongside Gary Oldman and Noomi Rapace in the adaptation of brilliant Tom Rob Smith crime novel, Child 44 – out on April 17th. If he’s not your thing, why not play detective yourself in this game I was totally addicted to over Easter weekend – The Trace. You investigate three crime scenes and put clues together to solve one big case. Now that I’ve completed it, I need more!
Say Goodbye To Those Mad Men
The final episodes of Mad Men are about to air on Sky Atlantic from April 16th. That means it’s time to say goodbye to Don Draper, Joan Holloway and the rest of the gang. Why not take inspiration from the girls’ spectacular looks and dress up for a viewing party, or add a little vintage style to your everyday make-up? We have some ideas right here.
Be Inspired By The London Marathon
April 26th is when the London Marathon takes over our TV screens and our fittest friends complete their training. It’s so, so impressive and such an amazing endeavour for charity – but if you’re not quite up to their standards, our social media exec Kirsty has started taking part in Park Run, running 5K every weekend in her local park. The nationwide scheme is open to anyone of any fitness level and is a super fun way to get your weekend started. If drinking the weekend away in the sunshine is more your thing, why not just do a pub crawl around the London marathon route?
